We spent the weekend after Sunstone at Cheryl's house in Timberlakes, east of Heber, Utah. It is in an aspen forest at about 7500 foot elevation. We could tell there wasn't as much oxygen there! We walked about 3 miles to the upper portion of Timberlakes.

This bull moose spent a couple of hours in one spot, eating yummy aspen shoots. He didn't seem to care much about us.

Some of us aren't hikers and preferred to take the ATV's. Michelle and Sharon.

Jeff and Hailee

Jeff, Sharon, Jan, Cheryl and Dan not hiking. This was at Zermot resort in Midway.

One of the things we like best about Utah are the cloud formations.

These aspens were fatter than usual. I have the feeling that aspens are not long-lived trees.

Rain in the distance. Summer rain is a novelty for us Californians.

Here's Mr. Moose from a distance. Apparently the males don't get aggressive until later in the fall.
